The competition is growing in the Internet of Things wireless connectivity field as the Lora technology is being rolled out. Lora has some interesting features 2-way m2m communication at data rates that range from 0.3 kBps to 50 Kbps. Another feature is the adaptive datarate which allows expanding the battery life of devices. The datarate is controlled by the LoraWan network server for each device individually. Currently, we bought ourselves two Kerlink Lora basestations and some Lora Nodes using either a Semtech radio or Microchip radio. Anyway, we have started some experiments to get everything working and develop the necessary hardware and software to deploy Lora based solutions.
